Ayodhya, the sacred birthplace of Lord Ram, is all set to create history once again this Deepotsav 2025. On October 19, the holy city will glow with the light of 26 lakh diyas (earthen lamps), spreading devotion, unity, and joy across the world.
Aiming for a New Guinness World Record
This year, Ayodhya wants to break its own record!
- In 2023, 22 lakh diyas were lit.
- In 2025, the goal is to light 26 lakh diyas along the Saryu River and across the city.
For the record to be valid, every diya must remain lit for at least five minutes.
Saints, Devotees, and Grand Aarti
More than 1,100 saints and religious leaders will come together for the biggest-ever collective Aarti. Chants, bhajans, and prayers will fill the atmosphere, blessing the city with divine grace.
Thousands of devotees will join hands, making this a once-in-a-lifetime spiritual experience.

Student Volunteers Behind the Magic
Over 7,000 students from Awadh University will volunteer to:
- Arrange the diyas
- Monitor the lighting process
- Assist the Guinness World Records team
Their hard work will ensure that everything is perfectly executed.
New Attractions in Deepotsav 2025
This year’s celebrations bring exciting new highlights:
Ramayana Wax Museum – 50 life-size statues with interactive storytelling, lights, and sound effects.
Better Facilities – Improved crowd management, sanitation, and infrastructure for thousands of visitors.
Live Broadcasts – Millions of devotees around the world can watch the celebration online.
From State Festival to Global Event
Deepotsav has now become a festival of global importance. With the inauguration of the Ram Mandir earlier this year, Ayodhya has gained even more international attention.
“Deepotsav has transcended from being a state-level celebration to a festival of global importance.”
Final Thoughts
Deepotsav 2025 is not just about lighting diyas—it’s about faith, unity, and global recognition. With 26 lakh diyas lighting up the holy city, Ayodhya is ready to shine brighter than ever before.
Mark your calendars for October 19, 2025—the day Ayodhya creates history!
